I checked months ago, can't remember when. From what I was told, that came with the standard TT kit items such as manifolds, turbos, oil pan, EU, etc. No intercooler.

Did you just find out recently?

BTW .. I have about 17K miles on mine for a reference starting point.
I've heard of guys getting away with a stunt like this at the local chevy dealership. If its under warranty, why not Keeps them busy..

Just be happy with NA setup - much easier to do back and forth on exhuast system or just get GTR.

Is the Greddy setup going to have CARB? Probably not.
Just make friends with someone that owns a shop. Thats what I do here in TX. Don't have cats on my truck, the tint is to dark, and I don't have the front plate. Nothing a good friend can't take care of

PS: smog is easy, just cause you have a horribly illegal car by CARB standards doesnt mean it isnt something that $300 under the table wont fix

Hahaha +1

Sharif,
I know you offer GTM items. Are you going to carry this also?

so are we looking at anywhere from 1200 to 1400 maybe 15 grand for the whole kit? thats what its looking like but i just wanted to make sure.

i was also told yesterday that about 450whp is how much you want to put on the stock motor before you should start upgrading internals. is this true?

Of course, GTM and Forged are great partners in many ways. The first kit is already on its way to us, and we''ll be installing it by next weekend.

We have several more kits on order...these kits are going to be hot. They really took the bar up several notches, in terms of quality, completeness, and upgradability, when compared to other TT kits on the market. Well done!

Quick question little off topic but for any shop that puts together these turbo kits.

I dont have a problem with the price at all in fact i love that its not for everyone but..

An estimated guess to how much time a shop like GTM puts into piecing this kit together, research and tests. Really is awesome how they do this and i wish i knew everything about everything...
If vortech doesnt come out with a SC for the 07 in the next couple months im coming down to GTM!!

I went to the site and noticed that there were several different options for the turbo's used. What is the price difference between each one? This really does look like a great kit. As for the HR, is the Haltech or VPro still the engine managements of choice?

I've seen Vortech installs, but not yet on on a car with dual throttle bodies. The HR is almost "meant" to have twin turbos.

I agree.. i really feel out of place for wanting a supercharger when the setup is so perfect for a TT but California. It somehow is and isnt worth the trouble. I know how to get it to pass smog =) but i had a car in the family get hit by the B.A.R and it wasnt pretty. I dont want to have to spend money taking things on and off where as vortech is legal.

Big decision gonna have to ride it out and see how it goes down ive got the cash for either just 'trying' to be rational lol.

I did talk to a rep at vortech about a month ago and i did post about this they said it was on their agenda to discuss a SC for the HR but no official word or promises. They asked if i could lend them my car but it isnt possible for me. They just want to check it out and do some research, im just affraid they will back out since its not too far off that the 09 Z after market should be getting ready. That is just a thought by the way didnt hear it from anyone.
Hoping for the best.. to all of u getting TT's right on!!!!!
