I would absolutely love to have this kit, but I, personally, want to upgrade some of the internals at the same time and right now i need to save as much money as possible. Knowing that this is a GTM product and it could be installed by FP is great.

For all of you that werent on this site when the Z first came out, it took a year to a year and a half before any F/I was available for the DE platform. When i first came here in 05 i read a lot of threads regarding that. Same thing with the HR platform and it will be the same for the next platform. Of course i could be wrong..it wouldnt be the first time.

Its just good to see GTM/AAM/ and PF (HKS kit) coming out with these HR platform TT's. Maybe with some new blood in the air, JWT/GReddy/APS and the rest will recognize there is new competition and lower the prices ..

 

I'm with you on the CARB thing ... I'll have to deal with it in 4 years. Also ... Vortech is only legal on specific applications, not all of them ... and for sure not on the HR unless they build and test for compliance.

The closest TT for CARB compliance is the STS system which blows clean, however even they are not legal on the G/Z right now.

 

^^Getting a carb exemption order is a very time consuming and expensive process for most companies.

In addition to the STS TT, I would say that the JWT TT would also have a chance at getting a carb e.o, if enough effort was put into getting it.

 

Any video of this kit on a car? Drive by ? Dyno ?

 

why do you think the JWT kit has a better chance of getting a carb exemption than any other kit?

The STS has the best shot at blowing clean since the stock cats are normally left in place. Most conventional installs (including JWT) have the cats removed and test pipes installed.
