How long have you had them installed? Does it come with non-foulers?

I wanted to get a metal substrate, but I've read about too many CEL issues, I figured ceramic will be the way to go. I'd hate to have my car smelling like bad exhaust and having issues passing CARB smog checks.

itsjiggajames is running metallic cores like me. I have had mine for about 2,000 miles now. Zero issues.

The Berk cats do have built-in non-foulers. Check out my picture:

I don't get why the wideband bung is after the cat instead of before it

I never had a bad smell with the metallic cats... Even when the CEL was coming on (that's why I opted not to go with test pipes).

Smells as clean as OEM.

metallic cats.. slight rasp when cold.. maybe lasts 2-3 mins? change your OEM gaskets to NISMO gaskets if you are using nismo exhaust. Reduces rasp. I've had these on since beginning of 08. January I believe. Next up, motordyne XYZ pipe. No more rasp w/ that built in resonator on that xyz pipe. I believe at that point I will have pure audible bliss..

+1 on the MD XYZ pipe. I'm right behind you!

I want to hear some sound clips though w/ and w/o that built-in resonator. ginobutterfly and Tony @ MD said they will post sound clips of both setups.

Wait... Those aren't the codes I was getting before installing my non-foulers.

I was getting these:
P0420: Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)
P0430: Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2)

You're getting these:
P2A00 O2 Sensor Circuit Range/Performance (Bank1 Sensor1)
P2A03 O2 Sensor Circuit Range/Performance (Bank2 Sensor1)

Not sure what's causing yours...

Did you check for exhaust leaks around the HFCs? When I installed my FI HFCs, I was getting a leak because the new ring gaskets supplied by FI weren't seating properly causing them not to crush as intended. I spoke to Tony from FI and he suggested I reuse the gaskets that came with the OEM CATs. That solved my leak.

i talked to tony also, he told me to use high temp silicone and i haven't had a leak since. he said he is in the process of getting a gasket made just for the hi flows but for now the high temp will have to do.
