I'm not sure how often cars need to get smog checked in cali, but basically for new cars, you don't really have to worry about it.

for CA, cars < 6 yrs old do not need to be smogged, but after 6 yrs, it's ever 2 yrs.

Believe me i can't wait for that glorious 300+WHP. I really hope these pulley's give me some power so i can get to 300WHP before i do the reflash and tune. ANd to be honest i reallly see no point in going FI as so many people end up selling their cars about 2 months after they blew all that money. Some people maybe need more power but i am more than content with the power im making

There's no real place to use a turbo in cali, there's too much traffic for a 480whp+ car. The only track I know where street cars may race is a 1/8th mile at Irwindale.

In all honesty, do you believe the headers are really aiding in getting to the 300whp mark, or are they not really neccasary?

I don't think i quite understand your statement but here is my best answer. Yes i do believe they HELP( key word ) but definetly are not necessary. I could have reflashed without them and wouldn't even neeed to tune it to get over 300WHP and i wouldn't need pulleys either but more power never hurts. My goal and want is to have a fully bolt on HR NA Z.

that is just oustanding... IMHO you should take the "next two steps"... one is called lightweight flywheel (so you don't loose too much power going to the rear end) and than cams... that is going to be the only way to really use your increased flow... the right set should give you 10 to 15 more hp EASY.

this engine will be probably hit the mark of 320/330 at the wheel with just bolt ons.... I love it!!!!!

He said he owned an auto.

Congrats OP. Sounds like you may be the first to have every bolt on available.

That's awesome, I just bought the stillen headers yesterday. Im getting them on the 26 and installing them on Saturday next week. I can't wait. The bad thing about it is that there is no dyno places around here, and If I want to dyno the car I need to drive over 360 miles(closes dyno). So far I have intakes, cat back and now headers. Hopefully I notice a difference once installed. I will take pics if possible...

Wait.. so with full exhaust + headers + tpipes + injens you are at 298whp without reflash? What did you dyno at bone stock if you did? Sorry if I sound retarded, but those numbers seem really high for a automatic Z. If so, props man. You'll land around 315rwhp (guess only) after reflash.. take it to the track and see if you can break into high 12s.

Haha no I do not. Im keeping it NA so it won't have any engine problems to keep as my DD for at least 6-7 years and then pick up a weekend car in like 2-3 years(GTR or M3).

Thank you for all the compliments. It's been an unusually hard journey but I'm almost there.

Congrats to CarbonZ08 on his purchase of these headers.

Ataru074 As mentioned I have an auto so i can't get the flywheel and I have been calling around about the cams and I have decided not to do them. They are $3000 installed for 15"estimated" WHP and every shop, even GTM, has begged me not to do them. So many problems could erupt from them down teh road I do not want to take that chance. Especially cause i am around 2 and a half hours away from GTM.

Itsjiggajames I unfortunatly did not have the opportunity to dyno stock as I did not know i was goign to mod my car past wheels. I know the number seems high but I think its more well designed parts than an unaccurate dyno. With a differnet intake and different cat-back WITH a refalsh i had 295.9WHP and the swap to the injen intake and swap to my fast intentions intimidator cat-back landed me 293.3WHP and now with headers its 298.9WHP without a reflash. I can't wait for my reflash and tune cause after I actually will be goign to the drag strip to try and break into 12s
