turns out there's a TSB for this. I'll see if I can find out what the TSB is, but it's got something to do with the heater core. I think all they did was flush the heater core and it went away. They only had the car for about 30 minutes before they were done so it couldnt have been anything big. Just a tip.

i had the same problem....they flushed my heater core then ticking was still there. then they flushed the whole system from "both sides" as they told me. the car was still ticking....then the third try i finally told them that i didnt have time to keep taking the car to the dealer so since flushing the heater core didnt fix the problem they should change the damn thing. they changed the heater core and boom i havent heard the ticking ever since. i have a 08 btw.

hm.. that's odd. I hope mine doesn't come back again. Seems to be an issue w/ 08's I guess?
