Over 75% of you all will not keep this car for many years. So I'm confused as to why you all worry so much over which oil to use.
This isn't me bashing. I'm sincerly curious as to why most care so much when typically people don't keep a car past 80k miles on the odometer. They typically sell and get something newer.

thats whats up Bigmo, Royal Purple 5w-30, Mobil 1 filter. Plus you might be lucky enough to get asked by a clerk, this oil is for high performance cars, what are you putting it in? They love to hear its going into a 350z haha..

To those of you running the "German Castrol" 0w30 oil, what oil pressure do you get at idle?

I've only had my car for a few months and never looked too much at the oil pressure gauge. All I noticed before was that whenever I got on the throttle at all, it pretty much jumped all the way to 120 or whatever heh.
Anyways the previous owner said he always used Mobil 1 5w30. When I changed my oil for the first time I decided to try out the "German Castrol" 0w30.
All seems well but I noticed that when I'm idling (once the car is warm), my oil pressure gauge is reading about 5-10 PSI.. I mean the needle is just barely past the 0 mark. When I am cruising on the hwy it reads about 45ish. Does this sound normal or is that too low? I checked my oil and from what I can tell there is the right amount in the engine still...
Thanks in advance for your help!

I bought a used 07 2 weeks ago. The car is due for an oil change in less than 1000 miles, I think the seller used Castrol, so should I continue using 5W-30 Fully Synthetic Castrol? Even if he was using regular, Running synthetic from now on should be fine, the car is already broken in at 21500 miles.

I was running royal purple 5w 30 in my car till I had it sent off to injected to have the motor built and when they got it and pulled the cams out they ended up having to polish the cams they were scuffed up badly and motor only had 6000 miles on it and I only put synthetic in it when motor hit about 4000 miles but I also changed my oil at 1500 miles using just regular mobile 5w 30...and my friend has a supra and royal purple did the exact same thing to his cams...since the motor has been rebuiltnand turbod I've been running nuthin but regular 10w40 mobil in the car and pulled valve covers of just to check and cams are perfect after about 4500 miles on new motor...
