Dreaming ? Honestly i think it can be done. I picked up ~29whp with just the UpRev tune and i only had the Injens, testpipes and catback. Now on the juice its a whole different story
I have to go back on a dyno.

I was looking thru old threads in the HR section. I found a good read... It was a thread before my time...

Read all about it.... http://motordyneengineering.com/350Z_exhaust.php
He's referring to his Shockwave exhaust.

It's some mystery part that no one has a clue about. Not an intake manifold, could be anythign for all we know. He wouldn't say anything until the patent is 100% said and done. And because he said it's not engine specific and universal, I doubt it's an intake manifold because the HR has dual throttle bodies which wouldn't make it universal with the DE which is a single throttle body.

He said it was an exhaust thing but thats all he'd say.
It's likely something that allows higher exhaust scavenging, what it is I have no idea, a dual plane header (LOL) isn't really practical, exhaust piping that has variable width to keep constant exhaust gas velocity? Who knows, I'm sure whatever it is if it works it will be great. If it doesn't we won't hear about it...

Hey guys, just thought I'd chime in. Always wanted to sign up on here, just never got around to it, and this looks like the perfect opportunity to sign up and help out some fellow Z owners and a local shop owner. Anyways.. I'm not a HR owner, just a DE.
I am local and have met John, who's a cool, honest guy.. and a very well known member on the local forums. I actually provided him with a stock DE manifold for measurements and whatnot, in return I'll be getting the final DE manifold when it's done. He has been giving my weekly updates, and stopped by a couple more times for engine bay measurements.
Anywho, as soon as I get my manifold(sometime by the end of March) I too will be putting it to the test on a dyno(on a stock VQ, and will post results for anyone that is interested. I realize that it's not the same motor, nor the same manifold, but just as a comparison for gains.

Last time I spoke to John was last Saturday, and I was told he would finish the DE manifold by the end of the week. I haven't contacted him yet to get an update either.
This is after he had already made me 2 manifolds out of aluminum and them not coming out the way he wanted them, or at the standard he wants them. He did tell me he wants the manifolds to be nothing less then perfect, which in my book is worth the wait, rather then getting some shotty manifold.

11 pages of flapping about a posible HR manifold with no pics.
And based on your post we really care about the DE manifold. My comment is directed to you not about the thread.

We all know about Revshift and the work he does. This thread is just all over the place. If he is just making your DE manifold I would not take it until he has put some long RD into it. Not that he doesn't
Back on topic I would find it hard to belive the manifold would make that much power when it has such a low flow rate due to the dual TB.

Pictures should be coming later this week. We have been rushing to make this manifold available for you guys but we cant rush too much. Mistakes happen when you rush things and we dont want this manifold to have mistakes. We are going to be releasing it alot sooner than we originally planned so if you guys can be patient for a little longer everything should work out nicely.
No, we have a few people working on the HR manifold and we have been developing it since late last year.
