Spoke with John today..(hey john lol) ... I should have a DE manifold early next week. As soon as I get I will post some hi-res pics of it, and installed. Dyno sheets will hopefully be up by late March/ early April.

I can't wait for dyno and pics. This might really be worth looking into.. I wouldn't have a problem getting this at all.

Again, I know this isn't the manifold for your guy's motor.. but I spoke to him again and he should be getting the fittings for the DE today and finishing it up, so I'm assuming I should have it Tuesday or Wednesday.

John gave me a call on Saturday for an update.

Basically, they finally got all parts and supplies needed in on wednesday/thursday of last week so they have been working on it. I should have it by the end of this week or beginning of next week at the very latest. Dyno results to follow of course

So why do you keep posting it in the HR section

Because I figured you guys would want to see the quality and what kind of work he does.. to get an idea of the one that's being made for the HR.

I am 99% sure that by the time I get it, I'm allowed to take high res pics uninstalled and a couple days later pics installed. Can't wait....literally. I want

Call me pessimistic, but on a completely stock car i find it hard to believe this manifold will have XX gains that have been thrown around.

I can understand that and I don't find it pessimistic. Only dyno results will show for sure but I personally don't know too much about the HR manifolds to even give my opinion on how I think it might react to a stock car.

i will however ask Tadashi and post his impressions on this manifold and how he thinks the car will react to a Revshift Intake manifold on a stock car. And maybe if someone is stock and wants to help out I could let them borrow my manifold so they can do a before and after dyno @technosquare to compare dyno results. That way, we will know how the intake manifold will react to a car with maximum flow(full bolt ons) and a car with stock flow. I'll try to set something up after I hear what Tadashi has to say

i feel like a stock car would be a waste with an aftermarket manifold. There will be bottlenecks on both the intake side and exhaust side after a manifold. I would say 10hp would be optimistic with a stock car, but with the right supporting mods, 10+rwhp is definitely reasonable.

i honestly dont think anyone with a bone stock car would get this because it would make no sense as a first mod. Pretty sure its been established that the stock one is pretty good, but with a bolt on modded car like a few guys here it might do well. The stock dyno would be cool i guess but pretty uneccesary...

A replacement manifold for the HR won't be to address a choke point. Sure theres probably a few hp to be made by making it more efficient, but the real gains will come from messing with the volume, shape, and the size/shape of the runners.

We aren't going to gain free horsepower like the DE, at least not as much as the old motors did. All the people hoping/wishing for similar gains can pretty much give up on that. We don't have a cylinder filling issue, and if we do, it's not even remotely as big a problem for the HR as it was for the DE.

Any gains seen by an aftermarket manifold, will be to shift the power band by altering resonances. Anyone who wants to see 10hp at peak, will do so by sacrificing some at the bottom. The trick is finding the right design to maximize the area under the curve. Currently peak Volumetric Efficiency is around 5000rpm, the max torque rpm. Changing runner sizes and shape can shift that higher or lower, and it will make gains on any motor, stock or modded, assuming it doesn't hit another mechanical limit e.g. cams being too mild.

The 304 SS comment is very true but I would thoroughly enjoy getting the Aluminum since my dad could anodize it any color I would like, sounds corny and not everyone has this option but it would be cheaper and anodizing is not that expensive giving you the color and bling you want without the added weight and lack of color option the 304 SS would give you. This is not an arguement I am just piggy backing off of you reply, and if this already written then I am sorry it is a long thread and I haven't finished reading it yet.

Also, I am 90% sure the 304 SS is better for keeping cooler tempertures. The 304 SS is very shiny as well and if polished correctly can be as reflective as a mirror. And teh 304 SS is always the more expensive and popular choice on aftermarket components. And every exhasut component I buy is always in 304 SS
