Default tuned at uprev today

I have to generate the charts... tomorrow.
the numbers are 285whp and 250 torque. (about that... tomorrow will be more accurate)

can't have the rpm working but 50mph is about at 3000 so every 16.6 mph is 1000
1000 = 16.6
2000 = 33.3
3000 = 50
4000 = 66.6
5000 = 83.3
6000 = 100
7000 = 116.6
7500 = 124.9

drive it!
the power band was really improved, way flatter where I really like it. now between 5500 and 7500 there is way more power to be used, and it's really smooth.

I'm going to fix my rear end in the next weeks, install a 3.9FD and I still have the 350 evo A arms sitting in the glove box...
next weekend they'll probably go in (or the arp long studs)...
once all this is done I'll miss only the oil cooler and ps cooler.

Damn those are decent gains for a tune for your mods. Area under the curve is nice. Congrats

yep. than you know.. still a problem comparing apples to oranges (dyno and correction factors) from one to another.
if I put uncorrected values and less smoothing the peak power is about 294
just changing the smoothing to 0 you'll see 1 and something hp more.

I'm curious about headers, I know they work pretty well. but I'd like to have a header / cams combo

I guess my baseline full stock was around 260/265.. I'm quite happy with the gains and the "safety factor".

Great looking dyno sheet! Congrats!

I dont know if your are planing of going FI or not, but the Injen CAI add alot on top of the power curve. They also sound great!!

I'm not planning FI and the ingen are too much of a pita to clean (besides the simple fact that here in Houston when it rains IT RAINS...)

A header/cam combo would be pretty sweet but $3000 for camshafts for an added MAYBE 10whp is completly not worth it imo. Not only will it not gain good hp per dollar but you are paying like 1800 in install, and if you ever wanted to sell it it would cost twice as much to uniinstall it compared to the amount you would get for selling used cams.

Headers though are a pretty good mod, really make the car come to life throuhhout the powerband. But maybe you should wait on that till I dyno the intake manifold because if that makes more power for the same price as the headers those will be way more worth it considering you can DIY the install in 20-30 min instead of paying 4-500 to install headers.

I didn't read all the responses but what mods do you have? I made 283 with cat back thats why I ask.

EDIT : i see you have jic y and single, HFC's with K&N's. I just installed K&N drop in's so I would be interested to see if I get that two extra hp.

2HP from one dyno to another? if you don't have HFC probably you're going to get 10 more hp on the dyno where your car was tuned in the first place.

even putting both our engines on an engine dyno we could end up with a 5% difference just for were we are in the tolerance of the engine itself.

the dyno should be used for what it is.. a tuning tool, not a reference.

I have seen people posting "uncorrected dyno chart with very low smoothing"... well...

here we go.
