I drilled and tappped a port on the rear of my intake by the brake booster port. It not very hard to get the intake off and only about 10 min to drill and tap a new port. I had to change out the injectors so I did it while the intake was already off. I am not running a catch can so not sure on that one.
Are you wanting to run a vacuum pump based catch can or a recirculation based catch can. You'll need a pair of check valves and to tap into the intake manifold (assume this is where the stock PCV system connects to) with a one way so it doesn't boost into the crank, and put the other one way going into one of (or both) of the pre-turbo pipes. Those two act as your "vacuum source", connect them to a "T" and the output of the T goes to your catch can, which then pulls from the crankcase breather.

basically the port you have circled is one of the two ports for the purge valve. These will work for your gauge if you want to "T" into them. It is often cleaner to add another port in manifold for your gauge/boost controller. When i do them i use an 1/8npt fitting (hose barb size can be whatever you need). I also put a bit of super glue around the inside of the hole after i tap the threads in. This seems to soak into the composite manifold and build a bit more strength in the threads.
As far as the catch can, i agree w/ peak350, other than calling the turbo's intakes a "vacuum source" since they really won't have any vacuum to them. They will work for the situation, just calling it a vacuum source is a bit misleading.
