I have no idea. I inspected everything and it all seems to be ok. The pulleys did seem to have kind of a rough jagged edge on them which might have started eating up the belt.

I just inspected my belt and it still looks new after 26k miles.. I'll keep an eye on it though.

mine also sounds like my belt is squeaking sometimes, but i checked the belt and it still looks brand new...any idea what it might be?
