Do you guys think that shaving the heads to raise the compression ratio to 11:1 will help any, or really not worth it because the stock compression is already high 10.6:1?

but I really think that you can hit the 300+ whp REAL just with cams and long tube headers.
but considering 1.5K for cams and springs, 2K for headers (look at sg motorsport headers) and probably between 1.5 to 2K in labor to install all that stuff you end up better buying a 370z and put TP, a catback and a tune.

I hit 291.4 whp with dual exhaust, stillen gen 3 long intakes, and a tune. I am getting stillen headers, crawford hfc's, and the stillen pulley kits, then Ill be pretty much a full bolt on, and will finish it all up with a retune, and I think I should be well over the 300 whp mark.

whether the car has 10.6:1, 11:1, or even 12:1, it's not going to make a significant difference in peak power, particularly on pump gas. An all out race gas map might see a bump in power, but it would require a full bottom end build to accomplish that compression

I understand everyone wanting to break 300whp with just bolt ons on the HR. Please understand that each dyno is different and the weather that day will affect the results as well.
As you have seen from Kennedy who was dyno'd at S&R performance, he hit 299whp. Their dyno (land and sea dynomite) is very accurate. In the peak of summer here in Florida I dyno'd 296whp with every bolt on you can do. The very next day with the same weather I dyno'd at Z-Fever on their dynojet. This was to see how different dunks can be. I did 334whp.
So what does it all mean? Realisticly you probaby won't break 300whp with simple bolt ons on this motor unless you dyno while it's 40 degrees outside and that's still questionable.
Dyno numbers should always be an "estimate" and not relied upon to be 100% accurate.
Sorry to shatter some hopes and dreams. Go FI and be done with it.
