Question Stillen supercharger system

I have been speaking with the people at Stillen for several months and have been told they are very close to having their newly design super charger system kit ready for the VQ35HR C.A.R.B legal. Has anyone heard anything about them being closer or ready to launch this system.

I enjoy my car, but would like to get some real & reliable power from it that will pass CA smog requirements.

Also has there ever been a exhaust system shootout on the aftermarket systems that are avail for the VQ35HR. Thanks for any information!

Stillen has been saying they are comming out with a HR supercharger for the last 3, going on 4, years. I'll belive it when it comes out. If it does, hopefully it isn't 8k, like what they are trying to peddle for thier 370Z supercharger. So for right now, I'd say just go with a twin turbo kit and not hold your breath.

Not too easy here. CHP love to pull us over and send us to state ref. Then what? Nice to have CARB sticker and don't worry about getting modified emission tickets. I hate CARB.

I think it's worth it to get a CARB approved supercharger for Californian living in area where CHP are on look out. Even if that means only gaining 100 more WHP (less than TT). I don't mind getting a custum tune either for better drivability and safety.

It's the price and 4 year and still waiting bit that I'm more angry at. If you are worried about CARB, then don't get any type of FI, just stay NA. HR's make pretty good horsepower stock with all the bolt ons. GTM makes a complete kit for 6k, you could look into it. Your going to get pulled over regardless if your car looks fast, if you look suspisious, or it sounds like you have any type of FI.

Already have. Not for speeding. Just to pop my hood. It would be nice to have legal FI. That's all I'm asking.

Yup I know what you're all thinking but I don't remember them ever advertising it until now.

Man, I was expecting some kind of article with a review in it or something. They have been advertising the thing, just look at any magazine with a stillen 370Z supercharger add in it and read the whole advertisement. With the world we live in, I'm surprised someone hasn't sued stillen for false advertising or hurt emotional damage because they keep leading us on with this thing like we are horses and they are holding a carrot.

I just heard about this recently, bought an invidia n1 exhaust from a local seller and he said that he has "pre-ordered" it through stillen.. Yes, for the HR motor, that was his reason for selling me the exhaust because he needed the money. Any who he said that he had to place a $500 deposit. ill believe it when i see it

Because although Stillen won't produce rediculous insane power, they have a reputation to be slightly weak sauce. Becasue they are slightly weaksauce, the supercharger setup and tune is designed to be more reliable, and in some cases doesn't void manufacture warrenty.

If I was really still into modding my Z, Stillen is the way I would go.

If you want crazy numbers but run higher risk of damage, then just twin turbo.
