Default Oil Cooler Question

So, I don't know if this will work. I have a PC water-cooling radiator this one

Diagram of pressure drop vs flow rate

I was wondering if this would actually work as an oil cooler or would the pressures cause it to burst. I use one of these in my desktop running mineral oil at a flow rate of 80 gallons an hour. Now I know the oil that is used in the Z is a few times thicker. Some insight and opinions on this would be nice. These radiators are made of solid copper and would dissipate heat in the oil very nicely. I could easily head to home depot and get all the parts needed to put this on the Z.

I think you would be better off just buying a decent sized / right sized oil cooler.... even if you did adapt that to work with your Z you would always worry about it to some level.... If you get a oil cooler that is MADE to work on the Z then you know it is doing its job... less worry.... IMO...

Wait, wait, wait... you're asking if you can use a PC cooler on your car as an oil cooler??? Lol.

Just buy a used one if you don't have much money to throw around.

Here's a picture of mine, showing a rough example of sizing to keep in mind.

yea you need an oil cooler that is designed for your car.... I only see bad things happening if you use a cooler not meant/designed for the operating conditions of a sports car. Im pretty sure the oil gets a lot hotter in your Z then it would in a computer hehe

+1 Oil starts to operate at around 220 degrees on upward. I'm sure that cooler would work to a certain degree, but it wouldn't work long.

Most of the time, fittings & lines cost more than the actual oil cooler itself. I would invest in a bigger core to get better cooling. The last thing you want is an oil leak.
