Default HR E85 N/A Setup

Recently switched to E85 on a N/A setup. I wanted to see how much power I can get N/A (minus cams before I go F/I). I did a guesstimate using Virtual on 93, 284whp on VD and 289 on Dynojet. I think can squeeze more power adjusting the timing. Currently at 28 IGN timing @13.1 AFR. I'm thinking pushing it around 32-35 on timing on the next tune. Going to schedule a dyno next month.

Old setup on 93:
Gen 3
ART pipe
TDX2
Tune

New Setup on E85
3" Stack intake
PPE
GTR injector
Aeromotive 340lph pump
TDX2
Ported Upper and Lower
E85
Z1 E-Tuned by JonP.

3" CAI
TDX2 Exhaust
PPE LTH
Ported Manifold U/L
E85
GTR Injector
Z1 Uprev Street Tuned

Np! Let me know how it goes and post some results when you get it.

I received my RJ-M GTR conversion not too long ago and decided to wrinkle paint it. The Upper will get the same coating as well. The last piece to my NA build w/o cams on stock bottom end.

Thought I would share some progress. Received the upper manifold and the Big Bore TB's. I should finish the install by tomorrow.

This is great. I would completely stay N/A with those mods, it sounds like a pretty perfectly sorted setup once everything is installed.

Looks like that will be one hell of a setup. Can't wait to see it installed.

Thanks! I'm almost there. I ran into some issues on the fuel rail. The Radium dampers was hitting the stud when I started torquing the manifold down to spec. Other than that, it looks like there's plenty of wiggle room. I just have to cut the other stud, install the 70mm TB's and start cutting my intake tube to fit.

Are you going to take your stock manifold in to compare gtr to stock when you dyno?

I took a base dyno at 315 whp/288 tq with the previous setup. So we shall see next week if this is worth it on our NA HR.

Gotcha, i was just hoping for a same day comparison to know 100% the difference. A few weeks could be a massive change in temp and baro pressure. Leading to slightly scewed results.

Unfortunately, I'm limited on time and my tuner is in Georgia.
Slightly skewed results should work for graph comparison. I'm going to guess that the power band is going to shift towards Mid-range. If it show any sort of power mid-range to top end, it would confirm that the manifold makes power NA.

Last dyno was around 56 degrees
Next week dyno will be around 80ish degrees.

John, when do you plan on going? I live in Atlanta and wouldn't mind tagging along if that's OK with you.

I'm actually going to tune/dyno it remotely here in Detroit. I will be logging my runs and sending it to Z1 and so on.

Update:

I was preparing the car for my Dyno Tune yesterday, but I was having issue with Uprev flashing my ECU. "ISO K Line Error". Nobody including Uprev can tell me what exactly is the error. I'm having Z1 overnight me a new dongle cable in hope it will work. I will give it a try again tomorrow.
