Default Ac compressor delete, # 4 belt

Hi guys, I have searched but I can not seem to find the part number for the belt. I'm removing my AC Compressor, so I need a smaller/shorter belt. Have any of you done this? Any info or leads would help, Thank you!

If you need a smaller belt you must have a newer Z...

My 05 had 2 belts one for AC, just didn't reinstall it and I was done. No smaller belt needed.

OK- you've got the VQ35HR and will have to do additional work to use a shorter drive belt. We detailed the steps in a past issue of Nissan Sport Magazine. There's no factory approved belt or method to swap out this belt.

You'll need to drill and tap the HR central belt tensioner and use a shorter belt to make this work. I found a Gates Micro-V belt (part# K050505) was the right length for my Z racecar, but would suggest you check the tension required on your '07-08.

@dkmura, I've asked the guys at the Nissan Sport Magazine and they can't find anything on it. Can you share this here please?

Who exactly have you talked with at NSM? I was the editor-in-chief until the mag closed in 2013. As for sharing, I've already done that with my previous post. No other pics are available for modifying the central belt tensioner. You'll need to determine the right amount of tension by measuring belt deflection with the shorter belt. Can't hold your hand any further on this....

I've asked on their FB page.
That's fine, I knew about the need to get the right belt length for the tensioner to work properly (measure the length with the tensioner fully extended and compressed and pick something in the middle), but I don't know what you meant by "drilling and tapping" the tensioner? Unless that's your name for that procedure? My English ends here unfortunately
