Don't count on the V8 Z anytime soon. Nissan has played with that idea several times in the past with previous Z models. The only V8's they ever put into Z cars were in a few of their race cars.
IMHO- With the state of the economy in the US and oil prices moving in an upward direction a V8 Z is a long shot to actually happen. I read an article a couple of days ago that Nissan reported over a 20% decrease in sales last month. And just about every major auto manuafacturer is having the same results. Big engines do not drive sales like they did a year ago. Again, just my opinion.

all the aesthetic remarks remind me of the same fallacious complaints when the new GT-R teaser shots and renderings first came online years ago...now that the real GT-R is out, all those words mean nothing and a few folks had to eat their own words in the end! The turnout response on the new Z34 (speculation name of course) will be interesting!

there is no replacement for displacement, as long as the weight/weight distribution aren't penalized too severely. it's great to have tq at 1500 and hp at 7000. I would definitely consider this car if it was available with a v8 and a sub 3250 weight. and under 40K

Turbo the Z up..all you people want a v8 for what? a 4 banger Evo can crap on v8's if done up right so a 6 turbo can do the same with less weight. Follow the Germans and put a TURBO!!

All of the articles I have read on this car say it was out in 2006 and shown at the Detriot auto show in 2007.
The GT-R concept was out before 2005.

you do realize that a tt V6 will prolly weigh more than a well designed V8?
