Proper offset for 275 up front
I am looking into getting into a set of 18"tires and rims in the size range of 275/40 fr and 285/40. Would there be any issues in running this setup? Mainly I am looking for the proper offset for the front to run a 275/40. Thanks in advance.
Thats what i might do. Go the JDM route of having 2 different rim diameters front and rear. 17x9+35 275/40 and 18x9.5+22 285/40
Now I just have to worry about rubbing the fenders. Hence i am on tanabe springs. Maybe I could get away with 17x9+27. Anymore input out there.

I run 17X9 35mm w275/40/17 on RS*R springs lowered .6" no rub. Looking at it I think 27mm will work, but I would run 30mm to keep the SAI correct and this will help with tracking on the rutted up freeways. Yes, wide front tires do inherently track ruts.
It may depend on the tire mfg, but I think you are going to have to use 22, or less, offset to clear your uprights. I have 255/40s in the front @ 33mm, and no more than 3mm of upright clearance. My rear 275/40s are a lot wider @ the tread surface, in addition to the extra height.
