I wouldn't go over 245 and yes, square is ok. Throw in some giant spacers (maybe 30 mm) and you're set.

Default Thankful Noob- 18x9.5 +12 questions

First off, let me say thanks. I have been fighting the long battle to find set ups that I like and that will fit. With no internet, I can only do so much from my Iphone. Once again, thanks.

My setup: Work 11R Matte black 18x9.5 +12 (4) or 18x9.5 +20F and +12R
Apexi N1 true coils
SPL Rear camber and toe arms
Momentum Perf front upper camber arms

*willing to roll rear fenders and all these correction parts are waiting to be put on. Sitting on hotchkis sport springs currently*

My questions: I really am striving for the flush look without the "stretched tires" look or the extreme camber lowrider look. This is very much my style:

I am unsure how this looks straight on from the nose and dont want massive camber to make it fit. According to google, he is running a 18x9.5 +12 front.

My tires I am consider is 255/40/18F and 275/40/18R or 255/35/18F and 275/35/18R

Will I face fitment issues and camber issues in the front? I would like to keep it around -1.5ish depending on looks. It will be dropped about 2 inches from stock height. Wheel gods, be so kind to give your opinion.

Ryan

Default mb battles / tires question

looking into mb battles 18x9.5 +15 all around. im thinking 265/35/18 would work at all four corners? anybody think it wouldn't work or have any better suggestions?

It will fit fine. Your speedometer will read slow and if you are not running spacers the rear will not be flush whereas the front will. Unless you are looking to rotate tires, I would run 275/40, 255/40 or something along those lines

why would my speedometer read slow? because of the tire sizes or because its a sqaure setup? maybe i should stagger the tires in that case.. i just hate how all four tires will look different on each of the same size wheel, ya know?

Because the rear tire is shorter than stock, for evewry rotation of the tire you car is not going as far as it typically would.

If you want a square setup, i would do 275/35 all around, if not the typicall 245 or 255/40 and 275/40 tire setup is what you want.

I also recomend a 10mm rear spacer to even it out.

not sure if the tires would be too wide for the front or not, but the +15 will work on all corners.... see my post two below your post........

Do you want to know what stock wheels mean to me? Jack. There are all sorts of stock wheels. Stock tells me spit.

8" Is a stock touring v1 rear. I see youve got an 8.5, which is 255 max recommended.

Youre far from the first to do it. Congrats, if it makes ya feel special.

I have ran 275's on 8.5 inch rims on the track with no "issues". However the tires do mushroom at the edge of the tire and squirm when cornering at the limit.

So, they do "work" but they work better on a wider wheel.
