If it pushes (understeers) with those, I'll increase rear bar stiffness a tad.
Minimal difference is steering effort, I used to swap between 255 and 275 all the time, now both sets of my fronts have 275's . Even with the 350mm Momo steering wheel it is fine for the street. The biggest difference in steering effort came from the smaller steering wheel. Steering effort on a power steering car should not be a concern unless your an 80 pound female.

I agree in general but many Nissan and Infiniti cars have a tendancy for the power steering assist to drop at slow speeds. This was very true in my 03 Murano. You'd be pulling into a parking spot and all of a sudden it would be "left full rudder we're giving it all she's got Captain!" It is sometimes an issue in my 07 G35X. It is there in my 07 Z but much less noticeable. It is not what I would call dangerous but there are times, typically when parking, when you will suddenly need more steering affort. At one point Consumer Reports would not give the Murano a rating because of this. It did not provoke a recall as far as I know.

A larger tire could exacerbate this issue......but still, I agree it is not going to be any reason not to go with larger tires.

Do you intend on tracking at very low speeds for long intervals? I've never had an issue going around red cones.

Thanks guys..
Looks like it won't be a issue then.
I'll prolly go with 265/295 combo.

They are putting 265/40 Hankook Ventus V12 evos on my black 18x9.5 +15s as I write this. Will put them on the car when I get home from work. I'm very nervous about them rubbing on the fronts. We'll see soon enough.

Will post pics ASAP. Car is filthy. But, its never been a show car and never will be. I think the black wheels will look good with Daytona Blue.

Got them on the car. No problems except the hub centric rings. Ordered the 72 x 60.06 from Gorilla. They fit on the the wheel perfectly but did not even come close to fitting on the hub. I just mounted them without the rings and very carefully tightened the lugs. I'll measure the rings to see if they were labeled wrong. I sure thought the 350z hub was 60.06mm.

Anyway, I like the way they look. I asked my wife how she liked them. She told me it made the car look like it belonged to a 17 year old high school drop out. I told her, fine, I'll spend four times the money on a 911 and then it will look like it belongs to a 48 year old doctor. That pretty much ended that conversation.

Like I said, I like the looks. I don't mind the gaps. I don't like the slammed look....at all. As long as it does better at the track then I'm happy.

Here are a couple of shots. It hasn't been washed in 6 weeks.

(18x9.5 +15 Enkei RPF1s with 265/40 Hankook Ventus V12 evos on all four)

Gap in rear needs to close big time...do it because the CONTRAST with fronts is rediculous. Just lower rear 1" with springs (Eibach Prokit). Can't do that up front though. Or, do spring mount mod there. Better yet combine spring (1") plus shave another 1/4" off spring mount.

Hub ring size for car is 66.1

Agree, you need to lower it bad. Even if you don't like the slammed look by using coilovers and such, you should at least invest in some springs just to make it a bit prettier

Not talking about *how low you go*...I'm pretty conservative myself and put handling on the top of my list . However...the car looks bizzare. OP can do whatever..I just thought a modest drop would be asthetically pleasing.

I was just arguing for the sake of arguing. I do agree that gap is horrendous.

Hey N80... it looks like you got your hub rings all wrong. The 350Z hub size is 66.06mm and your RPF1 center bore is 73mm. You need rings that go from 73mm OD down to 66.06mm ID. If you choose Gorilla rings again the part number is 73-6606, not 72-6006.

Allstar, you are right about the 6006, but Gorilla says for the Enkei hub, which is 72.6 you should get the 72mm and in fact the 72 fits perfectly and very tightly on the rim. But thanks for pointing out the proper car hub size.

As for you guys with the gap fetish (you know who you are and you know you need help) I appreciate the critique but I can't even express in words how little I care about how that looks. However, the driveway slopes down toward the front of the car. When it sits on the level street the gap in the rear is a little less noticeable.

You will be happy to know that if/when I start to move toward Spec Z I will put a KW suspension kit on it and that lowers things a little. But that's a long way away.
