Default In reference to getting good wheels. . .

Listen up guys this is for you guys that want good wheels but dont wanna spend much:

SHOP FOR A WHILE AND BUY USED VOLKS, its worth it, trust me. Just try to buy something in good condition you can find a great set of 350Z Volk wheels for about 2000. I honestly would rather have a nice good looking set of used volks than a new set of no name brand wheels . . . FOR THE SIMPLE REASON that they're FORGED. A regular set of 19" wheels are:

1. Not correct offset and size( i mean nothing past 8.5 for the Z)
2. Not forged, they're subjected to cracking bending, which WILL cause you to end up spending extra money in the long run.

OTHER ALTERNATIVES TO VOLK:
SSR
GRAM LIGHTS - check out the 57F Pro and the new G Games 5 spoke wheel, i forgot the type but they're extra light and sweet.
G GAMES
LEXION
IFORGED - EXPENSIVE THOUGH, great bragging rights, but I still think Volks are nicer, just my opinion though, I could have gotten them but didnt, I got Lexions instead.

Ask anyone with a RAYS wheel, they'll stand by it all the way, its an investment whether used or new, but IMO definitely worth it.

Just my 2 cents,
Denny

unfortunalty, even forged wheels will crack. any wheel when used properly is being subjected to stresses and sometimes the wheel may break. ask any race team, wheels are considered a "consumable" as in they are something that are to be replaced, much like tires. although some forged wheels my cost an absurd amount (hre's, iforged, ccw, kinesis, etc...) they are still a "consumable". this comes in light espeically since everyone believes that HRE's are going to be banned at track events for porsches/viper gatherings, due to their failures on the track. but now im getting off track. the point is that even forged wheels may break

I have a set of HRE's 547R's. Not too sure how they handle on the track, but pretty nice looking rim. If I had to do it all over, I probably would go with something less expensive. Hre's are overpriced @ 1500.00 per rim.

OUch, I couldn't bring myself to part with that kind of ching. I opted for some nice looking Kazera's. Enjoy your HRE's they are awesome.
