Default VDC after Intstall of Toys

Alright, so I just installed Alphawerks headers, Stillen Sways, GReddy Evo II, and a UT Polished Z tube... Now my NAV is telling me I have a VDC problem and to take it to an Infiniti Dealer.... Does anyone have any idea why it would be saying this? I don't know exactly what the VDC is hooked into, but I don't think I touched anything that would make it kick the warning.... NEED HELP!!! I reset the ECU twice now, and it keeps coming back. How can something mechanical like sway bars affect something electrical/sensors like VDC?? HELP ME OUT!!!

Is it coming on for no reason or is it during driving.

it comes on for no reason, different conditions all the time... no extreme driving. I will be driving for no more than 2 min and the VDC off and Slip light will turn on and it will kick on my Nav screen s well. It stays on as well.

Sometimes a set of sways depending on how stiff they are might cause it in the sense that if you take a corner or mayne even bumps, I don't know, the car is stiffer now and might tend to cause one of the wheels to lift, but yours seems to be an extreme case, unless that maybe during the install of the exhaust and relocation of the evap some connections were messed up. Does it kill the engine or just the light comes on.

If it is just the light then it seems like it might be electrical and need to recheck what was done in the rear during the install of the exhaust and relocation of the evap that is required by the EVO 2.

Header install eh. Sounds to me like they disconnected the steering and might not have put it back exactly as it was which messes with the VDC and will cause it to be on all the time. I've seen that a couple times.

King Tut... thanks for the input. I found that out last night. I realized my steering was off and I was looking in the manual and the steering angle sensor kicks the VDC light. So I'm fixing the steering today. These cars are just too smart

Luckily I was still subscribed to this thread and it e-mailed me. I am not sure why you are getting the problem after installing wheels. My problem was the fact that I had to undo my steering arm and when I put the splines back in, I was off by like 30 degrees (my steering wheel was turned sideways when I was going straight). In essence, my car thought I was always turning at like 45 mph (hence the VDC kicked in). All I had to do was remove the steering arm, and have someone hold the steering wheel perfectly straight when I put the steering arm back in. Hopefully this helped. If not, let me know. It's been a long time since I've done it. I can picture it in my head, but it's hard to explain I guess.

Youre tires could be the culprit, what are your tire sizes? Incorrect tire sizing is one of the main causes of VDC freaking out

yea i have the same issue, my car now does not start right away, it takes a few seconds then when it does turn on the VDC and SLIP are already on plus the car moves really slow. i have 275/30 rears and 245/35 fronts. it has been happening everyday now for a 2 weeks, before it would go weeks without the VDC kicking off. it really sucks
