I love the KDW2s and recommended them to a friend with a new Porsche. He got a lot of trash-talk from the other Porsche owners when he attended a multi-marque track-day. They said they'd tried them and they didn't hold as well as the SO3s in the corners. I notice thethe BFGs wear better and they hold better in the rain. After all, I live in Oregon.

They stick to the road like a sommamob!tch. Hard to peel out. Really good tires, had them for about 1k miles.

I have them as well. There was a big improvement in dry traction on these compared to the Toyo T1-S I had. What really impressed me about these tires is the wet traction. I couln't believe how good these tires handled in the rain! During my 5 hour drive in heavy rain, these tires gave me confidence that I would get home safe. I would recommend these tires to anyone.

Now i'm debating between the BF KDW 2 and the BS RE-050A tires, which come stock on some 06's and the Enzo Ferrari (meaning they must be pretty sticky).

Yes, they do have stiffer sidewalls than T1-S. I do notice some improvement in handling with the KDW's.

Hmm I am considering getting a set of these. The reviews are decent and the look is awesome. Just can't decide between 245/35/19 front and 275/35/19 rear, or stepping up to 255/35 and 285/35 for my 9.5 wide and 10.5 wide wheels. Anyone have pics of this tire in 275/35/19 mounted on a 19x10.5 wheel ????

KDW's are about 4-5 lbs heavier than the ps2s. so a total of 8-10lbs of rotational mass is going to be added on. I'm running the ps2's. awesome grip. the price.. not so awesome.

I have also heard that they are heavier than other brands in the same size. Not exactly what I want to put on forged monoblock wheels where the goal is weight savings!

I would run a 285/30 instead....I'm running a 285/35 and my car looks kinda like an old school drag racer. Bad *** tires the kdw2's

Had the KDW2's on my 04 ppw for 40,000 miles!! Daily driver plus 4 track days at Road Atlanta.
The Good: Wear, grip wet or dry, handleing, cost. 285 35 19 available.
The Bad: Noisy,Noisy,Noisy At Hwy Speed!!!!!!!!!!!!. Absolutely no screech or sound when loosing grip, had to wait and feel loss if grip. Heavy.
Because of noise, recently replaced with Eagle F1 GSD3.
The Good: Grip, Low Road Noise, Lighter
The Bad: Expensive, some sidewall roll, no 285 35 19 (got 275's)

As much as I want to try something new, I think I might go with Toyo T1R 285/35/19 (I have T1R 275/35/19 now on a 10" wide wheel). In my opinion they drive well enough for street driving (I don't do any track events), the wet traction is pretty good in my experience driving in the rain, and I like the look. My only complaint is the wear I have experienced on the inner edge of the rear tires after ~13000 miles of driving. I do have some negative camber because I'm lowered a bit, but about 3k miles ago they just got real noisy and I think they're wearing down. I think I'll swap the tires side to side to see if I can get another 10-13k out of them.

Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the BFG thread, but I wanted to share my thought process anyhow.

i have them on my 05 roadster. i have 4500 on them, dont really notice the road noise since the top is down and the roadster is way noisery anyway. the guy above is right, you dont hear anything, then you loose grip. well you hear a little screach before it goes.

they are great tires for my driving conditions. daily driver, over 80 miles a day, california freeways. hopefully i can get at least a year out of these. paying for the ps2's or the pe50 (MUCH BETTER) just doesnt make sense to me since i put so many miles on the ride. i thin they are better than the toyos, but size matters too.. anyway good luck. id buy the kdw2's again.. they look cool too.

They're awesome tires, very sticky, but are quite loud for my taste

It's possible to swap the KDW2's from left to right, correct?
