Default Need Opinions! 255/35/18 or 255/40/18 on Touring rims?!

Just as the title says, I need to figure out what kind of profile I should run on the stock 18 inch Touring wheels. I know that I will run 255's all the way around, but I need to know which profile looks better and performs better. Pics would VERY appreciated. Thanks.

if u are going to have 255 rear make it /45 and u are going to be only +9mm off spec. 255/40 is going to be -17mm off spec and it is a lot!
try this

Can you please elaborate when you say 17 mm "off spec?"

Get the combination that is closest to stock Wheel Diameter. Stock wheel diameters are:

25.8"Front
26.8"Rear

Why exactly does it matter? I'm not worried about extra space in the wheel well. I'm already dropped an inch. I do not have VDC. Is there any other reasons to not run 255/40/18 all the way around?

If you don't have TCS or VDC then the only thing it will affect may be your speedometer. But it won't be affected that much so I wouldn't worry.

Awesome. Thanks for the info. The tires will be mounted Saturday. I will be running BFG g-Force KDW-NT 255/40/18 on all four corners. This thing should grip!
