Question Stock tire pressure psi questions

On my 2006 Enthustiast, what should the stock tire pressure be in the winter? How about summer? I know the sticker says 35 psi front and rear but should these values change with the seasons? When I got the car from the dealer it has about 36-37 psi....I couldn't tell exactly since I was driving a few miles before I checked. I noticed that when I drive for like 30 min or 15+ miles, the pressure was as high as 44-45 psi. Seemed a little high....what do you guys think?

edit: I did a search and I couldn't find anything relevant

The recommended pressure is for all year round.

With it set at 35, I see it climb to 39-40psi after driving on the highway so you probably need to let a little out. Remember, you should check the pressure with the tires cold.

Don't rely on the tps for the air pressure, use a tire pressure tool. Mine normally goes up 4 psi after driving for a couple hours on the highway. I think 44 seems a bit high.

in summer time, with cold at 35psi, after you run 15+miles, it will raise to
38,39psi, because of the tires get hot.
so it should be fine.

I find the TPS to be pretty accurate. When I auto-x, I always check with a tire-pressure gauge, and the TPS is correct 99.9% of the time.

Door sticker tire pressure is cold tire pressure. Tire pressure will increase as the tire gets warm (or hot).

I'd start worrying if the tire pressure got to about 50 psi hot.

Tire pressure is always measured cold. Cold simply means before driven. What should the pressure be after the car is driven? It doesn't matter.

BTW the primary reason for tire failure is heat. Heat caused by running too low tire pressure.
