Default Fender roll or cut them? please help!

i just installed my new volk gts rims on my car with tanabe nf210 springs and my rear tires are rubbing on my rear fenders

what should i do, roll them or cut them? will any paint cracking occur when you roll them or cut them? because i went to a bodyshop they said i'll be hard to roll them since the fender is double wall and the paint may crack...

Sigh... I just put in a new suspension (Cusco Zero 2's) so I had my fenders rolled... Unfortunately, Im not happy with it... Next weekend Im just going to have them cut... Whatever you decide on doing roll or cut they should be fine as long as its done right...

The paint will crack if not done with care. I've seen it happen a few times, but it was real easy to fix it. I mean the paint that would crack would be in the fender well anyway.

Even when you have someone that knows what they're doing, the paint may crack. It's least likely, be it could happen. Why do you think they have the car owner sign off a waiver releasing the shop of any responisblity if it were to happen?

My fear of cutting is that it exposes metal that wasnt suppose to be exposed in the first place. Just another spot to worry about in terms of rust.

Try to find a shop that has a fender rolling tool. You can also rent them, but they are kinda hard to find. I know tire rack did a one point, but not sure if they still do. Or you can try http://www.rollyourfender.com/ Also make sure they heat the paint as they roll it so it won't crack. Post some pics when you're done!

Here are some pick from another thread. Not my car.

If you re-coat the fenders after you cut them they shouldn't rust.^^^^

I would have them rolled. If you were going to take off less then 3mm or so then yeah go ahead and cut them but if you really need more room have them rolled and make sure that they will pay for any damages if they screw up the job.

It wasn't too scary watching them cut my fenders at F1motorsport. They touched up the exposed metal with some black paint to seal it from oxidation.
