on a 19" wheel, I feel that the 285/35 is too tall of a tire...

18 sure no problem...

as far as fender rolling, depends on the offset of the wheel its on...

I recommend a 305/30/19 or a 295/30/19 on a 19x9.5-10.5" wheel. Works great. 18's are a different story.

I have 285/35 on a 19" rim it looks perfect, those that feel its too tall like that stupid small sidewall look. You can definetely go with a 285 on a 9.5" rim depending on the brand it won t"buldge" much if any at all. If you have +24 or more agressive offsets you willl likely want to have your fenders rolled, if its +25-+35 you'll likely be ok....

I can't seem to figure out what would be good on a 10 inch rim. I want 285 but i cant find matching pairs of 255 for a 9inch rim. This is pretty aggrevating.

I basically have (will have..) 9 x 18 and a 10 x 18 w. low offsets...18+ and 20+ i think R/F respectively.

Im running 285/35/19 on a 9.5" wide and i like the extra sidewall and meat the tires have. I have a 22 offset and they fit fine w/ no rubbage.

Wa2good is completely right...you can have that setup on the car, and it looks *****in, no rubbing or fender rolling is required

Can some of you guys post pics of your 285/35/19's on 9.5" rims?

There is one tire company, I think BFG that has a 285/35/19 with a tire diameter of 26.7", which is the same as the stock 245/45/18's, so the sidewall, "should" in theory look ok/normal.

All of the other manufacturers that I found have diametrs of 26.9" and higher, which I think would look too tall.

I have 285/35/19 on GTc OEM Volk rears (10" width) and they look perfect, not just too me but to others as well. Any shorter and wheel/tire combo would look odd.

OP, look at the spec sheets of the tire manufacturer you're going with. They list recommended wheel widths for each of their tire sizes. In my case, 10" falls in the middle of Toyo's recommended width so it looks great. I, or anyone else, can have no idea what it will be for you.

Ok so i decided 285/35/18 and 255/40/18.. Will that work fine? I have no VDC, so only TCS is an issue.

Should work fine IMO, try 265/35/18, instead of the 255/40, might look better.
