Default Please help....Volks VS TPS

As i notice many people out there got volk rims, how do you without TPS? Yesterday Rick from Status told me the only Volk that work with TPS are the CE28N and TE37. I wanna get other model rather than this two.

Is that a way of attaching TPS to Volk that you guys do? or you just drive w/o it? People said that warning light come on, beeping noise, and all those crap when TPS are not attach...

HELP....

I just read a few mintues ago about some kind of adapter for the tps sensor you can get? I emailed the guy who posted it to try and find out more info since I am curious about this as well. It was posted on a thread about PIAA wheels so I dont know if he meant they were specificaly for that rim or company or what. I will post whatever I find out.

There is the well known banding method. Works fine except you may have an issue with the ECU not seeing your TPS on the new wheels. I am working to no end on figuring this out.

Sorry, but what does that mean when " Issue with ECU not seeing your TPS"

Does that mean that there will be no tire pressure reading...... If so, whats the point of this "Banding Method"

Well this is the weird part. I am on my second set of Works. Both sets have had the sensors banded to them. The first set had absolutely no issues with reading the sensors. Now, on the second set, they won't read at all. Not sure what to make of it. I have done tons of research on it and I can only come to two possible conclusions at this point. 1. The dealer doesn't know how to calibrate the sensors correctly OR 2. I have a bad set of sensors (unlikely I think, but a possibility nevertheless).

I am using another set that I got from a forum member. I also reacquired my original stock ones, so I think I am gonna swap them back in and see if it makes any difference.

Just an update for anyone who is interested. Your stock TPS will work with aftermarket wheels. I have now used my original sensors on two sets of aftermarket wheels using the banding method and they work fine.
