Default Tick, ping, what's that noise?

have a 04 350z touring and i noticed a noise driving home the other day. when i'm pulling out of first gear theres a little ping or tick noise at first, sounds almost like a lash. Once you get going it stops right away. Any idea what it could be?...

(THIS IS MY FIRST POST! )

I bought my car used, how does the factory warranty apply? is it still in affect if theres a problem? can i just go into a nissan dealer and say my cars under warranty, can you look at it? THANKS!!!

its an axle click problem, the dealer will fix this. ALOT of people have it, basically there is a place on the axle that isn't greased as much as it should be. It does not cause any harm to your car. The warranty stays in effect for X number of miles or for X number of years which ever comes first. It does not matter who many times it changes hands

Hi, since this question is covered in the top 100 questions thread (link in my signature) I recommend you take a look at it before posting any new threads.

Thanks

Good luck getting the axle click fixed, I had it too.

Your car is still under warranty (3 yr 36k)

The rear axle is part of the drive train. Drive train warranty is 60 months/60,000 miles.
