Default Tps ??

Installed hfc's and new exhaust. Next day the front left tire TPS is reading --- and the tire indicator is coming on. Checked the psi and its fine. Reset the ECU after the exhaust was replaced. Is there a lead I may have pulled off. How are the sensors wired?

mine did the same thing when I got it back from the shop. It was a little cold out and pressure in the tires had dropped a little. Even the one that still had 33 psi in it was ----. Just put a little air in the tire to up the pressure a hair. It should start reading the sensor then. If not, a sensor could be bad.

There not wired. The sensor is inside the wheel. There must be a problem elsewhere.

The sensors are "wired" at all so you couldn't have accidently pulled something loose. They are miniature radio transmitters who's signal is picked up from a common antenna. So if three of the read and one doesn't the must be the sensor. If all four of them are reading, then I assume one is low, correct? How much pressure do you have in each wheel and what are the readings?

Well bought a new pressure gauge and rechecked. All tires read the same. 33 PSI.
So either a tps malfunction or (is this data being sent to ECU?) ECU not reading?

Yeap, the unit may not be functioning properly or it might just need to be reporgrammed. It could have lost the ID registration of one of the sensors and that's why it's not showing properly.

Sounds logical. Its not being read at all. As if it were not there.

so, any way to reset them w/o going to the dealer? some sort of pedal dance or unplugging the ECU?

thanks
