Default Is this a good deal for Michelin Pilot SPORT PS2?

Got this quote from tires-easy.com . I bought WORK Meister S1 19x9.5 + 19x10.5 a while back from Rick@Status Auto. I finally saved up some money and I'm looking for tires now. Rick suggested me the size of the tires so I'll take his word for it. Now it comes down to finding a good deal on the tires! I want some GOOD tires with insane traction. So here we go. Do you guys know anywhere that I can find better price or maybe free shipping? Any other tires you'd suggest me? One big reason that I'm looking at Michelin Pilot SPORT PS2 is because of they have the rim protection design. I can't imagine how sad I'd be if I put any curb rash on the S1.

Not my favorite, but in the top 3 for the 350Z. Nice choice. BTW I checked Tire Rack and cannot beat your price.

Thanks for the input. Yea I checked Tire Rack too. Even with a cheaper shipping cost, it's still more expensive than my quote. Just curious, what's your favorite? I'm getting the PS2 because they're known for good street use(both dry and wet) and the rim protection.

I have had 2 sets of PS2's and I am not really fond of them. Bridgestone RE050's and Yokohama ADVAN Sports are better at dry grip, and just as good in the rain.

Ive had almost every performance tire on my Z (6 sets), but not those Pilots-from what Ive seen thats a decent price. I love KDW 2's, for the $$$ my favorite overall, although Eagle F1's are better straight line traction IMO the KDW's are much better handling due to the much stiffer sidewall. Might be an option you may wanna look at.

Hmm... i'm convinced to get 255/35/19 for the front and 285/35/19 instead of 275 for the rear by a member here. It's mainly for rim protection issue. I got the price quote from www.tiresavings.com . What's the difference between R and ZR?

Z is the speed rating, R for radial. It's just a typo in their database, all of the PS2s should be listed as ..ZR..

try calling around to your local tire places and see if they can match price or even beat competitors pricing. Most tire shops will be able to price match if not, they'll give you a deal on mounting and balancing through them. It wouldnt hurt to give that a shot.

Hey Al, since you're local, do you know any good shop to put my tires on? I want to make sure to find a shop that won't scratch my rims!

I've got the same setup -- I've heard the comment "looks like a steam roller from behind".
