Volk GT-7, COMPLETELTY curb rashed
as the title states....i was going through a drive through, i was tired and careless and before i know it i hear the disgusting loud SCRAPE. i checked the lip when i got home and saw that more than half the lip was scraped. i need to get this fixed asap. i've searched and a lot of people say polished lips can also be fixed. any1 know any good repair shops in so cal? preferably near cerritos/long beach area?

Here are ur options:
1. take all four wheels and get the lip completely sanded down and buffed, it will all match, everything looks new again... just that u will have to polish it every time u wash the car pretty much.
Theres this place in walnut called THE WHEEL SUPPLY, excellent work, did my wheels for 200 bucks (sand and polish) + mounting new tires.
2. just sand off the curb marks... it will look fine from like 4 ft away... and u can actually just do this urself with wetsand paper, 800 grit and work ur way up to 2000 grit

just take it to a wheels shop. dont listen to these guys who say you have to have your whole wheel polished. they can just fix the curb. you wont even be able to tell it was there to begin with if the shop is any good. it shouldnt cost more then $125

The only prob. I see {since I own GT7's} is they are clearcoated, therefore once it's repaired and polished yes it will look good but will mostlikely have more shine to it than the other 3, but really not enough to make a huge difference.

I heard of a place in fullerton or anaheim that does it.. or just have them clear over the wheels once they finish repolished them.. I had a friend that had the same problem in Florida and got the wheels repolished and have the shop add clear coat paint to the rim.

i went to the wheel supply today and they did a PERFECT job! i can't even see where the rash used to be. only the very tip of the lip was tended to so i still have the clear coat and everything on the rest of the lip. the shine is basically the same and like i said before it looks almost as good as new. o yea.. it was only $50. i reccommend this place to everyone
