Default NEED Help!! TCS VDC "slip" light

whats up guys my uncle just bought his daughter a Z. Roadster equipped with VDC TCS, any ways he says that when it rains the car starts bogging out/ no power (as if it was in safe mode) and a "SLIP" light comes on in the dash and it also happen to him on the highway (not raining). He said that when he turns the Traction control off the car is fine. any idea?? my Z is BASE so i dont know about the TCS stuff... just trying to fond the prob. dont want my lil cousin drving around w/o traction control. (girls cant drive as it is)

If VDC and TC are on and the tires start to slip, that light will come on and it will cut power. Sounds like in the rain the tires are slipping and TC or VDC is kicking in, hence the bog and the light.

For the record, if its the stock tires, they are awful in the rain and if the car is used the tread might be low as well. First thing i did was invest in new tires.

Yep. Tell him to try to burn out and see if it does the same thing.

Very difficult to second guess what the driver is or is not doing.

Take your cousin's Z out for a drive to verify and report back.

I'd guess it has aftermarket rims/tires that violate the rule of 3%

put on F&R swaybars.
My car used to constantly disengage the power due to VDC/TC. I took it to the dealer and they said everything was fine, but it kept on disengaging power on most turns going over 25mph. I solved that problem with the sway bars.
