I have a buddy who ran 245/35s on a 19x10.5 on his is300 and it was a good but not excessive stretch. I may have pics somewhere...
Some people are not into aggressive fitments and stretched tires - just ignore them. I have never personally seen an instance when it was unsafe or "the tire came off the bead" such as so many people are quick to point out. I think it looks great as well. But then again there are some people who run 20"s on there car with no drop and a huge *** ugly ****in body kit. There will be haters no matter what you do, so do what you want!

yah i know, my tire stretch is REALLY conservative in the world of tire stretching; it makes me laugh sometimes when people freak out about stretching and I know i've seen folks with setups many many times more aggressive than mine will be

any motorsport enthusiast knows that tracking and heavy endurance load applies to stretched tires the same way as overly wide-reverse stretch tires. Ignorance applies to folks that think performance driving or stretching is dangerous; "knowledge is power"

You guys are funny.
Anybody has a degree in engineering in the lot?
Please, enlighten us at the secret knowledge of stretching tires in a performance application.
Here are a few questions to start:
What kind of lateral load does a drifting tire get? (Almost none)
How often does that tire hit a pothole on a race track? (Never, unless you run out of track)
What happens to the thread with the sidewall twisting it in a concave shape? (Mmmh...)
What happens to water when such a tire is going thru a puddle? (See topics on Tire Pressure + Rain for the correct answer)
In a drift application, a stretched tire will break away earlier, plus the reduced thread allows to slide at a lower speed. These are desirable. Plus it's a show thing...
It's fine if you like the aesthetics of a stretched tire. But don't fool yourself in thinking you're perfectly safe and the tire will behave the way it's designed to work...

As-tu un autre argument directement relié a la discussion en court?

next time you see a pothole, make sure and ram it, im sure that the diffrence will be null with a 275 on a 10" and a 255 on a 10".
