CONCLUSION: Some drifters who use old tires stretch them onto wide wheels. That is the easy deduction from those two facts. Anyone who has any sort of college education could have figured that out.

Newsflash! Most of the articles written about drifting aren't written by drifters!
i do not agree with the old tires comment, because i have seen far more drifters use new tires or nearly new at the track, where you probably are unfamiliar with anyways.

NEWSFLASH!
You Fail if you read and believe journalists' opinions/writings on drifting...

Why do I have to be a drifter to discuss wheel and tires, I didn't know only drifters stretched tires. VIP style car owners and lowriders have been doing if for as long as drifters if not longer. But they don't know what they are talking about right?
i didnt say for the mere fact of wheels and tires, you were talking about the "horrors" of stretching and drifting in particular. you sounded like you knew so much about drifters and what tires they used just because you hung out at the 240 forums-

You may as well take your impostor rims and get out of this thread.

Can you link me to the post where I stated the "horrors"? Also, most of the "drifters" aren't really drifters at all, they are posers on the street that take bits and pieces of the knowledge about drifting, and try and throw it all together into some mangled package and call themselves drifters. The majority of people who are "drifting" aren't doing it in sanctioned events with sponsors, they are the retards in the parking lots and the streets crashing into other cars. I think we both agree on that point. Plenty of those posers are stretching their tires to follow in drifter's footsteps without really knowing what they are doing. That is the danger that is posed to the public by advocating such a stance on a public forum where any nut with a little bit of money and get into "drifting".
If you read my initial posts in this thread, I was clearly talking about those who daily drive stretched tires and the risks associated with that. Nowhere do I state that stretching tires will automatically result in a popped bead/crash etc.

How are my rims "impostor"(imposter)? They are on par if not slightly better than your AME's which are cast. How does that have any relevance once again?

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/impostor

imposter is a variant to impostor

and yes, you wheels are impostors of work meister s1's. i can go on another debate on forged vs cast wheels....but then again your wheels have a forged outer and cast center.

Work meisters and SSR professors look very different, look closely. Are JP Scara's also imposter wheels? Yes they are sold on tirerack, so are Volks and Enkeis. Does that make those wheels lower class? Mine weren't even purchased from tirerack, they were imported directly from Japan, in offsets not offered by tirerack.

Yes, the rivets go all the way around on the work meisters, while on the ssr's they only go inbetween the spokes. This makes the centers of the SSR's much larger, and doesn't make the wheels look like 15's like on the work meisters. Once again, does that make JP Scara's imposters as well?

i dont hate on spacers, they're okay. but you have to run a 25mm spacer to barely be flush with your meister spin-offs.

I have less than 3mm of clearance between the fenders and the tire with my fenders rolled. How much more aggressive can you get? That about as flush as you are going to get.
