Question question please help..... wheel is touching the caliper

Hello All,

Got a question guys. I bought BBK for my Galant but the wheel(18 inch) is touching the caliper . So I decided to use 5/16 spacer and it will solve all the problems but my friend told me is dangerous because the car will be putting too much force on the spacer. Is that dangerous or is it fine?

Thanks

Should be ok assuming your wheel studs are long enough.

just make sure you 7-8 turns on the lug nuts before they get tight. If lower, it's unsafe.

Lug nut torque is approximately 80 pounds right?
So how could you be putting more than 80 pounds of force on the spacer?

Make sure the spacer is hubcentric! Plus I HIGHLY recommend extended studs beyond 3mm spacing.
