Need suggestions on DD setup
I drive my 03 350z track as a daily 10 mins to work each day. Driving conditions are mostly city with a little highway, and temperatures can go from 90 degrees to freezing depending on the season, and it rains hard every so often.
I've decided on one and only one of these two different tire models. I want to run on stock rays forged wheels. Suggest a tire size and tire model based on the following:
1) Performance (I want the vehicle to corner well)
2) Noise level
3) Treadwear
2 tire choices I will go with, choose one or other and answer why please:
Nitto NT 555s or BFG g-force KDW2s
THanks in advance!

again, the tire model choice is down to two, no more suggestions or data to show their qualities is needed. Just a simple choice of one or the other and a size is all I ask. Thanks

Definetely the KDW2 out of those 2. Why Nitto? There are much better alternatives. Goodyear GS-D3 would fit your requirements perfectly but are a little more expensive.
Sizes: 245/40 front and either 245/45 or 255/40 rear.

In the Nitto family, this is how it goes:
555 - POO!!! horrible wet weather traction, many accidents reported in threads here.
NeoGen - Not too bad. Supposed to be ideal for lowered cars. Decent wet and dry traction.
Invo - gleaming reviews both here and off this forum.
I can not comment on the BFG's since I haven't owned a set of the KDW's, nor did I read any reviews because I didn't even consider this tire when shopping around.
For a relatively inexpensive tire, I have and would recommend the Falken FK452. Great in dry and wet weather so far. Many people here run this tire and have given it the two-thumbs-up.

Ok next question (thanks for your input already btw):
If I want primarily good performance (wet and dry), but road noise and comfort are a close second, with treadwear being last, which tire do you recommend? I refuse to pay $200 a tire so GS-D3s are out of the picture.
Last question:
Given your tire recommendation, what size would you put on my car (while still keeping VDC working and rims stock rays). Please put a reason why you chose a specific size (for example, a 245/40 front and 265/40 rear because "it may ride harsher but will give the best performance." again this is just an example no idea if thats true or not).

like an idiot, I ran KDW NT all winter. We hit 20F at times.. but generally, its 30-40F. I had plenty of grip. I even got home as snow/sleet started to fall... twice! Somewhat unheard of in a G without winter tires. The G tends not to move at all. I wasnt happy that i got stuck out in that stuff (work), but they didnt let me down, operating WAY outside of their spec of what? 58F? I wouldnt suggest expecting them to get you home in a few inches of wintery wet stuff, but I was happy I wasnt in a ditch or walking home.
Of course you know they rock in rain. They are loud on my car. but they have lasted much longer than I thought they would.
