New wheels and tires
Here is a picture of my new wheels and tires
ASA JH8 18x8.5 front
18x9.5 rear
Tire Avon tech m500
245/40
275/40
I know there not Volks or Works but I like them and they were the best I
could get.

Hi...
we have the same name and your Z is in my fav colour. Wheels look good. Have you considered some clear reflectors or LEDs up front? Personally, I think they make a world of difference, especially when the car in question is a Red Z w/ stock orange reflectors.
Keep it up (four wheels down).

You’ve done just a great job buying decent stuff within a tight budget. Obviously you did some research.
The ASA JH8 wheels look good, are tasteful, and weigh less than others in that price range (and in fact are close to some much more expensive wheels as to weight). When you consider the price… Well, you can buy all four for the price of just one really expensive wheel.
The Avon tires are very good. I’ve driven on these (someone else’s Z, not mine), and I was very impressed. My only criticism is they are a little noisy (but no more than the OEM Bridgestones). They stick well on dry roadways, and feel secure in the wet. Avon isn’t known well in the USA, but it’s a respected brand in the UK.
Questions:
1) What is the offset (front and rear) on the wheels? Looking at your pictures, the tire position in relation to the car’s wheel wells looks nearly perfect aesthetically.
2) Is your car lowered? I can’t tell from the pictures, but it looks so good. Based upon your budget comments, I would guess no; but the pictures say yes.

Thanks , yes I did research for a long time.
The Frt offset is +30 the rear +35.
And no it is lowered.
I am hoping to get my family to help me out with springs for Christmas. But would go with no more the 3/4". I really can't go for camber kits and all.
I'm not a youngster and have a grandchild due in Dec. so the wife and I are spending alot for baby.
Thanks again for the comments, much appreciated.

Michael… Hope this is not an unwelcome or poorly timed bump for your good thread.
If you have the time and inclination, would you kindly post some additional pictures of your wheels and tires? I would like to see a full side shot and “down” shots (front and rear).
The reason I ask is that there are members here (especially younger members) who are on a budget and would like to have a better wheel and tire setup. Your setup provides this solution (good tires with the right size and fairly light wheels that are priced so that just about anyone can afford buying these).

Thanks for taking the time to take and post the latest picture.
Damn that setup looks good; and it’s so reasonably priced. I was just about to pull the trigger on Nismos, but those black spokes with a polished lip and it’s great offset look so good…
