K i just got my new wheels. Motegi Togue 18x9 fronts with 25mm offset, and 18x10 rears with 30mm offset. I placed them on the car without the tires so i could see how flush they are. They are extremely flush and I'm worried about rubbing my fenders in the front when i go over bumps. I was going to run 245/40/18 (which is 0.14in smaller in diameter than stock) in the front and 275/40/18 in the rear. Does anyone have this setup on their lowered z? If so what size tires are you running? I'll be picking up tires in a day or two.

Here are a couple of pics with the stock wheels and tires so you can get an idea of what the wheel gap looks like now. With the new wheels and tires being 0.14in smaller in diameter for the fronts. I would think i should be fine. But going over bumps worries me a little.

Im pretty sure your fronts will be fine. I run 275/35 tires on 18x9.5 in the front with 20mm offset, lowered a little more than an inch, and I get no rubbing. (these are my track wheels, so even under severe cornering and braking, I have never had this setup rub).

I'm not sure how much this picture will help.

Your offsets will be fine. You should be able to run just about any tires combo you want on that setup without fear of rubbing.

10" wide with +30 offset should be fine, depending on the tire width you run. My rear wheels have +25 offset and 275 series tire and there is no rubbing....not even close actually.

What size tires are you running on your rims? Am i about to choose the wrong size for the rear or is 275/40/18 ok? i wanted to go a little bit bigger than stock to get rid of some of the wheel gap that i still have in the rear . The 275/40/18's are just an inch bigger than the ones in this pic so i figured that would get rid of some of the gap. Anyone else running this tire setup or have suggestions for me on tire sizes? And do you have any pictures of the setup you are running with tire sizes? Thanks

with those you could run the same setup I am:
295/35/18 rears
265/35/18 fronts
Kuhmo MX

though if I did it again, I probably wouldn't go bigger than a 285 rear and 255 front

First of all you are looking at an uncompressed suspension compared to your stock wheels on a compressed suspension. They will not be that flush once you put tires on them and put them on the car. You will not have any rubbing problems.

+1 dont people think! Motegi wheels good luck with those. If Sears sells your wheels, you prolly shouldnt put em on a sports car.

Yeah well I'm only 20 years old live on my own and pay for the z payment as well as my insurance by myself. I can't exactly afford to buy $4000 on wheels and tires. And why does it matter what kind of wheels you have anyways. You may say because the $4000 ones are lighter and they won't slow you down as much. Well thats B.S. These wheels weigh about the same as stock. And even if wheels did slow down your car. The extra $2000 dollars that you saved will make your car way faster than some dude that spent $4000 dollars on wheels and tires. But obviously money isn't an object for you guys with the $4000 dollar wheels. And thats fine. But it's rude to put down the people that have a budget.

You will be fine. For the 18x9 wheel, I would go 245/35 or max 255/35. For the rear I would go 275/35 or max 285/35.

Personally, I don't care what you paid for the wheels. But I like to see fellow Z owners pick good/quality wheels, whatever the budget. Enkei for example are very affordable and have great reputations as a quality wheel. Havent heard of the wheels you picked, but hopefully you wont have any issues. Wheels are one thing I would rather rock STOCK until I had enough $$$$ for a set I really wanted.

18x10 et 30 will be fine with 275 rears and even 285 rears. it will be far from flush. you could prbably run 10mm spacers to make it look flush and run 275's without having to roll your fenders
