Unofficial Enkei Wheels Thread
I'm thinking about a similar setup:
18x8.5 +15 - 275/35/18
18x10.5 +15 - 315/30/18
Do you think my rear tires would cause issues? rub or vdc?
Tire calc shows 40mm/49mm poke and 10mm/13mm inset from stock 17"s.
Hey man, do you get rubbing on the front or back? like over rough roads?

Fronts shouldn't rub at all depending on ride height, the rears will depending on ride height and alignment specs. 2 degrees camber in back and lowered 1.5 degrees camber in front and lowered. I don't have the rear fenders rolled yet and I rub lightly over rough bumps. 95% of the time though I don't rub at all with my current setup. Then again we have relatively smooth roads here in Phoenix. Also as far as I know our cars come with already rolled front fenders so that's a bonus.

I measured the poke and it's very close to the inside lip. No counting compression.
Looking for some insight. I am looking into RPF1s and have the Akebono BBK for the front. I know that 18x9.5 +15 clears just fine, but I am curious if 19x9.5 +22 would clear as well or if just a 5 mm spacer could allow for the clearance. I understand that the wheel will be set in an additional 7mm, but I do not know if the spoke design (concavity) changes. Any input would be helpful.
I prefer not to roll.

Thanks. I understood the offset differences, but was curious about the spoke design. Now I just have to decide what size I want...and keep saving
OK… Let’s get provocative so that we don’t get boring…
I’ve read this entire thread (which is no small accomplishment) as well as the other long threads in this sub-forum about other wheel brands (which is a huge accomplishment). This thread (the Enkei thread) is loaded with useful information, and I rate it as the best Wheel/Tire thread on my350z.com. Moderator participation (some of our best moderators have been here the entire time) is what really makes this thread so useful.
So…. We need some controversy to complement the plethora of information here.
Here are some observations (that, of course, are arguable):
1. The Lightweight Racing Series from Enkei is unmatched. No other wheel manufacturer provides a better wheel if you compare price, weight, aesthetics, and durability (highly provocative statement).
2. Enkei has accomplished a very clean design (especially in the Lightweight Racing Series) that mates perfectly to the Z’s tasteful lines. The only other aesthetic competitor is Volk. Ugly wheels on the Z are very ugly.
3. Are forged wheels that much better (weight and strength) for the casual racer or the DD?

#2 All opinion, but Works , Advan and a few others make some kick *** wheels for the Z.
3. You will see more Enkeis on the racetrack on any given weekend of club racing and HPDE. We are either all doing something correct, or all wrong. Well with my budget and what I know about then, I'm on the right side.
I've been stumped on choosing wheels, tsp6 gunmetal or rpf1's in hyper silver. Aiming for 18x 9.5 +15 squared. It's a chrome silver Z, all upgrades are bushings and suspension. So it looks pretty normal. Ive seen plenty of rpf1 pics and i know i can't go wrong with those, the enkei tsp6 look interesting though
For those that are interested to see what the RS05RR looks like on a Z, here are some pics I found...

They don't list the specs of the wheels though.
