One of my RPF1's if off by 5 ounces. Wish I could find the pics, kinda pissed off when Enkiei said it's perfectly within limits
Dang, you needed more than the weight of an uncooked Quarter Pounder?! Yikes!!
There used to be "craftsman tire people" back in the day who would rotate the tire on the wheel to get the weight as close to neutral balance and THEN adding the gram or two it needed. NO ONE does that anymore. NO ONE.
I had one set of tires mounted on my Volks and the guys PAINTED the weights black before putting them on the backside.

Detail, people!! Detail!!
I had to flip and rotate the tire before I found the perfect spot for the least amount if weight.
From my motorcycle racing days , I like duct tape covering my weights . It's available in mist colors to match
I'm thinking about picking up some rpf1's soon and I was thinking about doing brakes at the same time as I finish up my build. I was looking into getting an akebono bbk but I heard they don't clear some 18" wheels. I looked around trying to find if they'd clear but couldnt find a definite answer. Anyone know if they will fit? (18x9.5 18x10.5 +15 all around)

I do tires all day. But big over sized stuff and I do actually move the tire when the weight is too much. But it doesn't always work. I did one three times last week with the same problem
I also hide all the weights when I can. The part that annoys me on my wheels in the old double sided tape I can get off from the old weights
Excited to show off my new Enkeis. 18 inch Kojins on stock suspension. Fronts 8.5 w/25 offset and Rears 9.5 w/15 offset with 255 40 and 275 40 Bridgestone RE760 Sports.
Shawn, I really like your wheels. You went with the Enkei Tuning series wheels. You selected Kojin wheels (which are very attractive and a great value).
I really like the Enkei Tuning series. These are high quality wheels that are relatively light weight and an exceptional value. The next step up is the Enkei Racing series wheels, which are slightly lighter weight and available in wider widths and more aggressive offsets than the Enkei Tuning series wheels.
