I'm not sure how low you'll be on the h&r springs but if you get an alignment after lowering to get back to factory spec, the fronts might rub if you hit a bump when the wheel is turned. That's how my +15 setup worked out.
Sorry to resurrect such an old thread, but I thought I should warn people. I got the 9.5/10.5 +15 RPF1s and the akebonos brakes and the fitment was too tight.
On the hoist the brakes don't scrape, but in real driving conditions you're bound to get dirt/gravel/sand getting in between the wheels and the caliper it'll scrape channels on the inside barrel of the wheels. I've shaved the calipers by a millimeter or so and that's helped a lot - I'm not getting any more on the right hand side but I'm still getting some occasional scraping on the left hand side.
I would recommend people go for slightly larger wheels and not have to go through the trouble I did. I'm not sure what I should do - just give up on these wheels and get a new set (such a huge hassle for me in Australia), or just live with it.

Haven't seen any complaints yet until now.
What exactly is the clearance like? It's only gravel that gives you issues?
Just got them for trying out autox. 245/40/18 and 265/40/18 on Bridgestone Potenza RE-11s. Fronts spaced out 10 mm with H&R spacers. Forgive the smart phone quality, I like these pictures.

I would keep the wheels and change out the brakes. I've always heard that the OEM Brembos are much better than the Akebonos (heavier, no extra stopping power). If you are going more for looks than performance then switch to a 19" wheel with the Akebonos.
Hey guys, should I go for 17" rpf1s??
17" 9.5 +18 front
17" 10 +18 rear
The car would be lowered to no gap or very minimal gap
If anyone has any pictures feel free to post them
