Default Newby Need Upgrade Support!

Just purchased my first Z, a 2004 red Touring Coupe. I want to plus size wheel. Is the 19" a nice upgrade? I want to keep oem cool features and dont sacrifice suspension goodies. What sizes you guys recommend?

check out the top 100 questions FAQ. they have a section on wheels and tires, along with tire size calculator.

18s 19s and even 20s are common options
most people go for 18s and 19s though.

i'd say 18 is the best... anything over that is just too much weight imo

Damn I don't know what kinda of 18s you're running, but there are many 19s that weigh 19-23 lbs...which is pretty damn good.

NT03's , RPF1's and many other are under 20 pounds, you can also get some nice 19's under 20 pounds too.

i think you need to decide what route you want your car to go in...if you want it to be a track car, drift, or show and that would help determine what would be more appropriate.

i would definately say 19" is the best look for the Z. I would go for a 10.5" in the back with a +20 to +30 offset and a 9.5" in the front with a +20 or so.

But i guess you are correct under normal circumstances.

Offset should be determined by the tire size you want to run.

I think what is being referred to is the fact that tire size ( width) will affect how much offset is needed. The wider the tire the higher the offset will need to be to keep the tires flush with the fenders.
