Default which tires you guys running???

I just ordered my Volk TE37's in bronze for my z. 19x8.5 F, 19x10.5 R +22 on both, and I haven't picked out a set of tires yet.

I don't know much about the technical side of things, so I need help choosing some good ones. I'm gonna go talk to a guy today at Delta who is a friend of a friend so hopefully he can help me find some... I just want to know what I'm looking for before I go in there

Any suggestions??

you can also run 245/35 and 285/35, pretty much any combo of those four tires and be fine.

I like 275/35 on all corners NiTTo 555's, be careful if you mention this tire everybody here will rag on you severly. They say they are no good in the rain, personally where I live not much rain, but I have yet to have any issues.

Now there are 2 of us that are now targets. I have no problems and love the tires, but most likely will go with Vredsteins next time, great value & others here say only good things about em.

Nitto 555's here...not a fan of them in dry. I feel that a tire as wide as my rears, should be able to hold the ~270ft/lbs of torque...

Lateral grip isn't bad, but as far as GO grip goes...there's something to be desired. It is entertaining to see a Z sitting, spinning the tires...but its not very productive.

Its been raining here for a week, and I haven't had any issues at all.

What's a "Vredstein"? bicycle tire brand?

I'll prolly try Invo's, or T1R's next time, assuming I own the car long enough to replace the tires (not common for me).

Vredestein made in Holland I think or some other European country. I have the tires and I also love them. They are a very good tire for the money and they are asymetrical as opposed to unidirectional (so you can "rotate" them (side to side anyway).).

There is a long thread about them in here someplace with reviews and info on ordering them etc...

Michelin PS2's, Goodyear F1 GS-D3 or Advan Sports are all great for daily driver and light track duty. I've personally run the F1's and Advan Sports.

Thumbs down nitto 555's

dude i have nitto 555's and they suck, i do not like them at all, i have intake exhaust plenum spacer and these tires are not ablt to hold that, i can't get traction at the track with them 1st, 2nd, 3rd and chirps 4th. and i don't like how they handle but also the big thing is wet traction, absolutely none, i can spin easily as soon as i am into it, they hydroplane alot also. but cornering in the rain is sketchy as i feel the rear end is just gonna kick out. tellin you don't get them, also i am looking for suggestions on some sticky *** street tires what should i get for my 19's????? those invo's look pretty sick can't imagine they are any good in the rain though
