Does anyone know if the 350z has a wheel bearing problem. I just had the rear drive side replaced. It's under warranty but the car is only 3 months old and 5,000 miles.

Its possible yes. There are several NISMO owners with less than 10,000 miles who have replaced wheel bearings. Definitely a manufacturing defect.

Ok, your entitle to your option... but the Z car is a true sports car it has long and very respectable racing heritage. If I auto cross the car or do a track day the "Z" should handle that It's not a blvd. cruiser. I have put together cars for the track right out of the junkyard with many thousands of miles on them and never replaced a wheel bearing. So if we do not communicate with NISSAN then we do a disservice to the car we love and race.

PS i've owned every Z from 1972 and up.... and not one of them had a problem like this.

how do u know if the wheel bearing is bad??

You will know if you have a bad wheel bearing. The car won’t track properly in a straight line (the car feels as though it’s “wandering”).

Don’t ignore this because a faulty bearing might result in the wheel separating from the axle, which can be a rather exciting moment when driving at higher speeds (although, mercifully, this incident usually occurs at lower speeds).
