Default The great tire poll

I'm surprised that no one has thought of this yet. I'm sure the tire sponsors here would appreciate this one.

What tires are you all running?

I'm still on stock Bridgestone Potenza RE050s. Except for the treadwear, I'm very satisfied with them, they are very grippy all around, both wet and dry. For my next set, I'm leaning towards Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus.

I hate the stock Potenza's, they are too noisy.

Replaced my factory tires with Falken 452's about 1k miles ago and they are better in every aspect (IMO).

Bridgestone RE050A Pole Position.

Have them, and love them.

Previously had RE050A, NT555, AVS ES100 (on older car).

Wouldn’t it be more informative to specify the tire model (as well as the manufacturer)?

I wonder if the survey will be valid since it names 13 different manufacturers, and most of our members have experience with a much less number of tires. I suspect people will vote for the best tire they've owned out of less than 3 or 4 different brands at most (probably one or two).

Unfortunayely these anecdotal polls get us nowhere. Beside there is a mile of variation in, say, Goodyear.

WTH?

This poll is not for which tires you think are best or how many tires you have experience with, it's for which tires are you running NOW. It is a simple "what do you have" poll, not an opinion poll.

Should've allowed for more than one option, since many have run more than one. I've had almost every one on that list.

They should. One is for straight line, drag racing grip while the R88s are for a road course. That said, however, I think the R888s are better - even in straight line grip - then the BFG DRs I previously had on.

+1. currently on Toyo t1r's and drive a lot in dry/wet with no complaints. was going to swap to vredestein's ssentara or whatever the hell they are when I needed to - ordered some new wheels though and it would have cost me a bit more after shipping to get them instead of the package deal. hope these falcon fk452's are good value/performance tires and stick in the rain enough.

That’s my point. Since Bridgestone is the OEM tire, people with newer cars will be running this brand (at least until they wear-out the OEM tire).

In your own words:

This survey is certainly skewed by this fact that you seem to reaffirm in your reply to my comment.

A better survey would be: "If you have replaced your OEM tires, what brand did you select?”
