Are these the XD9's?
If so, no, you don't have to.

possibly...only way to know is put them on; you'll know if it needs to be rolled after you drive on them

I had 18x10 +22 with 285/40/18 and rubbed pretty bad on bumps. I ended up cutting the fender lips off.

Your fine. I had the same tire setup, same spring, same offset, no rubbage.

I have 285/35/19 with +22 offset on the back and I needed to roll.

Was rubbing on hard acceleration and bumps. So I am pretty sure you will need to.

this stuff gets repeated over and over again - and everytime, it's inaccurate

but your car and his car are not the same; your tire and his tire are not necessarily the same physical size, even though the size printed on the sidewall is the same. Your camber and his camber may or may not be the same; same goes for the rideheight. All of these factors determine whether something will or will not rub

the fact of the matter is no one can him "you're fine" - the best you can tell him given the situation at hand is "it may, it may not"

not surprising consisering you have a very conservative offset given the width, coupled with a very conservative tire
