Default Mickey Thompson ET street drag radial installed: 305/35-18

I just got them installed. With my supercharger I was having major traction problems so I bought some 305/35-18 Mickey Thompson ET street radials. These things hook like crazy. They have quite a bit more sidewall flex so the car feels "squishy" at higher speeds but I guess that's the trade off.

I'm pulling my transmission tuesday to put my carbon clutch in so next friday I should have some drag slip times. I was only in the 2.2 second 60' times a few weeks ago because I was spinning the tires through 3rd gear.

Don't mind the dirty rims. The car has been sitting in my garage for a few weeks while i was gone. Haven't had a chance to clean them.

Oh ya, they are on 18x10 motegi togue rims with +20mm offset.

also at the track u should do a good little burnout with these to get them hott, and i dont know if u know this or if its the same on the g's but on the z's at least u need to pull the brake light fuse to do a brake stand or the engine will cut power if ur on the gas and brake at the same time..i would say its the same for the g...so to do a good burnout u will have to pull the fuse..i ran my best 60ft. times at 16psi on mine but i only got 3 runs to date so i dont know ..i still have some playin around to do with mine myself

They should be the same as z's but i've done standing burnouts in the car without it cutting anything off so i'm not sure what's up with that.

We only have the 1/8th. I ran an 8.59 and was consistantly under 8.7. I was spinning through 3rd gear and after a few passes my clutch started slipping pretty bad. My reaction times were around .05 give or take a thousandth but my 60' time was only around 2.1-2.2.

I'm still getting used to launching a supercharged car (or just a plain car for that matter). I run under 6.9 (last week was 6.95) on the bike. That was all motor r1 without the stretch. With the stretch it's low 6's. 226hp to the rear wheel without the nitrous. It's just too hard to keep it from either spinning or breaking loose until i get into second gear.

must be different with the g's then idk, cause the z's will cut power when on the gas and brake at the same time if u dont pull the fuse for brake lights

u should hook fine at the track with these tires...i had absolutely no traction issues with them...1/8 mile though that sucks but for somethin to compare i pulled 7.7 at about 91 mph in the 1/8th, likei said though i only got 3 runs so i gotta get back out there someday here...good luck keep us posted

ya, that's about where i wanted to be. I was already at 89 mph but only sitting mid 8's. Traction off the line was a horrible issue. I'm hoping to be down to 1.7-1.8 60' and lower my time to under 8 in the 1/8th.

Nice tires man! Those 305's fit nicely on a 10" wheel... good to know... Can you get some low shots of the rear of your car? Are these semi-slicks with a small amount of tread/grooves or are they just flat?

BTW does your track do burnouts on water? I've seen a few Z's and G's at the track and they all have the throttle cut deal... but when on water for some reason the RPM's just fly before the ECU gets a chance to cut power it seems. That's been my result and that's what i've observed at the tracks.

best i can do for now of the behind shot.

they have a water box, but i've done them just messing around in a parking lot before without any fuel cut.

I just got a set of M&H 28x9.5x18. Should be more than enough and hopefully I can get thru the line in 3rd now in the 1/8th

So you are using those as your DD tires? I wish I could drop 500$ a year on a pair of tires. I'm worried my DR's wont make a season just at the strip.

ah, sidewall size is teh same as my old tires. It actually handles the same at speed limit speeds. it only changes when i get up into the "not supposed to go" speeds.

this is "technically" a daily driven car but not completely. I have an s10 that i drive quite a bit and usually take to work because i don't want my G sitting outside in the parking lot for the 16 hour shifts that i work at the hospital. We do'nt have breaks so i never see if my car is ok. You get a lot of old people and crazy poeple in those parking lots that will run into your **** and just keep driving.

This car will be driven less and less as "necessity" and more just when i want to have fun. i cruise in it and all that jazz or take it on small trips. When i'm doing work i drive the truck since it gets better mileage and saves my tires.

i'm vortech supercharged and i have it maxed out. I haven't been able to get it to a dyno. Nearest is 6 hours away (that i would allow to touch my car). Based on what others are running on this vortech system with all my add ons i would say around 400hp.

On our shitty prepped track i wasn't getting any traction in first from a launch (with a monster clutch) but last night I raced at the ORP and i hooked up hard in first. With street tires i couldn't get traction until 4th so it's a huge improvement.

I might be getting rid of these tires just as an fyi. I'm going to get drag specific tires and change them at the track now. I've tried to stay away from that but i need to just own up and get full drag tires to better myself in racing.
