Default help - annoying noise

ok,so i got some new wheels and tires from a friend about a month or two ago, they are bf goodrich kdw tires. on some 18's,practically brand new with lots of tread left.

im getting an annoying whumwhumwhumwhumwhum noise from the fronts from about 35-45,then after that its just a constant humming sound

. ive checked the wheel bearings, gotten the tires balanced checked the tires for uneven wear, and all seems fine, nissan has done 2 multipoint inspections since then and my bearings, suspension, etc are all good

i had a vibration, but when i got the wheels balanced that went away, the noise did not though, any thoughts of what it could be? ive heard somewhere that these tires are noisy but just wanted to see if anyone else has some input

thanks

I don't have any personal experience with those tires but I really wanted to get a set on my last go-round based on looks alone (the tread pattern is so damn cool looking haha). But on TireRack almost every review talked about how noisy they were, even early in the tire's life. That was enough to drive me away from them, especially since the Z was my DD at the time. Hopefully some other people with first-hand experience will chime in because I am still tempted to get these...

Yes, heard these tires in person, they are VERY noisy tires due to offroad truck type tread.

Sound is normal. Notice you will get same noise from a truck with Mud tires on it (louder though, of course) due to the pattern of the tread.

I've had these tires for a year. Noise doesn't bother me cause my exhaust beats it out. Make sure you didn't reverse mount them cause if I'm correct, the tread on the tires are supposed to point a specific way.

I'm gonna get the Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec tires in the next three months though. I've heard nothing but good things about them.
