heres some advice to you guys!!!
here is my story leading up to it....i worked at discount tire, and i bought me some axis shines and some tires. but i didnt get certificates for my tires (if they go bad or cant be fixed i get a brand new tire) because i thought naw that wont happen to me, and if it does i work here and get super cheap tires anyway. so yesterday i just got let go, and today i get a metal rod like the size of a ruler in my tire. that being said i cant repair it so i have to get a new tire. my advice is, GET CERTS, OR WHATEVER ITS CALLED WHERE YOU BUY TIRES AT. IT CAN HAPPEN TO ANYONE AT ANYTIME AND NOW I FEEL STUPID THAT I DIDNT. IT REALLY IS WORTH IT. have a good day guys
hahaha you doucher. I worked at americas tire, west coast discount tire. And its common sense to spend an extra 20 dollars per tire and get free ones if ANYTHING HAPPENS (maybe you might just put 2 nails in it) lol.

No keep the extra $80 in your pocket and watch where the hell your driving. You know much they make on that gimmick. Over the life of 2 (8 tires) that $20 per tire would of more than covered the price of a new tire. 15 years of driving i've never totally ruined a tire where it wasnt fixable and thats nyc driving. Just imagine how much $ you give them over the life of 1 car.
The certificate is only available at Discount/America Tire not anywhere else. We are the only company who will give you a tire for free if anything happens to it. Discount/America Tire replaced over 3 million tires FOR FREE last year alone. That goes to show that a lot of people buy the certs and believe in them. Also people like to have the peace of mind that if something happens to their tire that they are covered.

In 40 years of owning and driving cars, I've gone through literally hundreds of them. Only twice have I had to replace a tire because of damage, where road hazard or any replacement program would have done me any good.
Is it worth it? Not really. I probably would have spent several thousand dollars on the "insurance" for only a few hundred dollars in benefits.
Those certificates are about 1/8th the price of a new tire. How many of you have gone through two sets of tires and lost one that required replacement? In general, you probably have a better chance of hitting a lottery jackpot than hitting something on the road that would damage a tire.

That sucks Zero.
Are you applying at the new Discount Tires that they are building in HH?
Actually, on both of mine the problem was a nail/screw in the outer treadblock that cut into the sidewall. And yes, I have won one significant jackpot in a lottery, unfortunately it wasn't in the millions
If there wasn't a really good margin in the practice, it would not exist. Same thing with extended warranties. Just take that $$ and slap it into an account and forget about it. Maybe add some here and there and then if needed, it's there. If not, happy times. I bought extended on my Z, only needed it once, for the clutch slave cylinder.
yeah bro, ill know by then end of the week if hes gona take me. cuz they alrady have a full staff...but they need experience. so who knows whats gona happen
I agree with Dave on this one. I’ve purchase many tires over the last 40+ years, and have had only 3 or 4 tires ruined by road hazards. Purchasing “Certificates,” “Road Hazard Coverage,” or “Extended Warranties” would have cost me literally thousand$...
… but certainly not a “meellion” dollars.
I suppose that if you are living paycheck to paycheck and your budget is very tight, road-hazard coverage might make sense. But in the long run, it’s an expensive option.
